Dr John & Minister Theressa

After 17 years of Deaf-inclusive evangelical service, Minister Theressa, was invited to air Deaf Welcome Ministries on television across the United States.  Those teaching episodes spread Bible education and answered probing questions for those who relied on Sign Language to communicate, along with their family members who do not Sign. She uses simultaneous communication [sim-com] when invited to public speaking engagements to ensure Deaf equity and inclusion.

In 2024, Minister Theressa began to co-Pastor with her husband, Dr. John and established worship services for Deaf Welcome Ministries by the invitation of Main Baptist Church, in Aurora, IL.  Dr. John, a pathologist, and devoted Servant Leader and the founder of Voice of Zion International Ministries, shares his wife's love and passion for Jesus, evangelizing and teaching the Holy Word of God. Dr. John has served in missions around the world, for over 30 years, in Africa, Asia, Europe, Israel and the United States.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

Together, Rev. Dr. John & Theressa Chidozie are committed to obey the Lord's mandate to preach and teach the Gospel worldwide and make beloved disciplines of Christ, among all they are blessed to reach, especially those who cannot hear and have been overlooked by the [hearing] mainstream. See Matthew 28:18-20, Mark 13:10, 1 Corinthians 14:11.

Deaf Welcome Ministries is non-denominational and committed to growing the Body of Christ in love, unity, understanding and faith in our Savior, Jesus. The Chidozie's consider it a privilege to host Deaf-inclusive worship services, workshops, as well as teach church members how to Sign, at their unique Wednesday Night Bible Studies in Aurora.
